The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent selling abilities, and experience in counter sales or direct sales, preferably within the travel or retail industry.
This role is a full time role 40 hours a week, 5 days a week - Monday to Friday. Initial 6 months contract with possibility of transition to permanent or extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Service
- Promote and sell travel-related products and services to new and existing customers.
- Drive sales for: Visa Concierge Services, Travel Insurance, International Calling Cards, Holiday & Tour Packages, Hotel Accommodation, Travel Accessories.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Maximize revenue through effective cross-selling and upselling.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via walk-ins and phone calls.
- Negotiate and close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Operations & Cash Handling
- Process transactions accurately through POS systems.
- Maintain sales records and prepare daily sales reports.
- Handle opening and closing of cash registers, including cash balancing and deposits.
- Ensure daily cash tally and submission to the Supervisor.
- Maintain stock inventory and request replenishments when required.
- Arrange and display products attractively to enhance sales.
Security & Compliance
- Follow company security and safety procedures.
- Report incidents or security risks to the Supervisor/Regional Security Manager.
- Monitor and help prevent theft or suspicious activities.
- Coordinate with local emergency contacts when necessary.
Performance & Reporting
- Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets.
- Maintain strong sales pipeline and productivity metrics.
- Support EBIT and profitability goals.
- Deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Submit required reports to management on time.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or higher qualification.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales (counter sales/direct sales preferred).
- Experience in travel retail or customer-facing sales environments is an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and computer systems.
