Some Financial Accountant jobs are narrow where you have mastered most areas in the first 9 months, not this one though. Among the duties and responsibilities include:
- Month-end close including journal preparation, accruals and prepayment calculations along with FX revaluations
- Management accounts preparation for Irish and US entities, providing in-depth variance analysis commentary
- Financial statement preparation in line with FRS 101 and US GAAP
- Business partner with department leaders to review monthly performance and highlight deviations from budget
- Collaborate with the CFO in the preparation of the annual budget, CAPEX proposals and future financial planning for this rapidly expanding business
- Prepare the R&D Tax Credit submission and manage related audit requests
- Manage the external audit annually, dealing accurately and promptly with audit requests to ensure timely sign-off
Based on the outskirts of Galway City, this international manufacturing business has operations in Ireland and the United States where its medical device products are FDA approved. Company growth will be rapid as they expand across multiple countries globally meaning the finance team will grow, putting you in prime position for upcoming managerial roles. You will have high visibility with leaders from the CEO to directors of R&D, Quality Assurance and Engineering giving you influence from the outset.
The package on offer is between €55,000-€65,000 including a competitive base salary, company pension contributions, generous annual leave, death in service benefit, company sick pay scheme and significant room for career progression as you are joining a rapidly expanding company.
To become the Financial Accountant you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP from either audit or industry experience. Ideally, you will show evidence of being a high achiever such as 480+ leaving certificate points, university scholarships or experience working at a renowned multinational company.
