We are currently recruiting for a full time manager for our Little Monkey’s
Preschool and Afterschool service in Glasnevin, Dublin 11.
Little Monkeys playschool is a child centred play-based environment, in which
each child is supported and encouraged to have fun as they learn. We follow a
child led emerging curriculum using a play-based approach which is informed
by Aistear, the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework. We aim to provide a
safe, secure and fun environment for your child to grow and develop. We
believe our curriculum promotes the holistic development of every child.
Key Responsibilities:
· Managerial role reporting directly to the Owner
· Develop curriculum in line with Aistear and Siolta
· Adhere to Child Protection Policy of the service and report any concerns
· Supervise our long term, medium term and short-term plans
· Meet frequently with team leaders to discuss curriculum, lesson plans, issues, and questions
· Conduct centre tours with new parent
· Train, manage and motivate staff
· Facilitate regular staff meetings
Role Requirements:
· At least 3 years’ experience in creche management (preferred but not essential)
· Minimum of QQI Level 7 (8 preferable) in Early Years Education
· Management qualification is an advantage
· First Aid. Manual Handling certificates and Garda vetted
· Experience working with Tusla including childcare regulations and guidelines
· The proven ability to lead a team, self-motivate and to meet deadlines
· Knowledge of Aistear Framework and Siolta Standards
· Knowledge of child led/ Emergent curriculum and documentation of the curriculum
· Ability to work in partnership with parents and staff
· Strong communication skills with fluent in English
· Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Full clean driving license ( an advantage)
