Overall purpose of the position: To support the Finance Department. The main responsibility of the post is the maintenance of financial records, the processing of income and expenditure and assist on a range of financial reporting and administrative tasks. The post operates in a team environment and successful candidate will be expected to work in a collaborative manner with co-staff and management.
Duties and responsibilities
· Prepare & administer Payroll
· Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
· Process sales invoices
· Administer day to day finances
· Prepare monthly accounting reconciliations and reports to deadlines
· Administer credit control/debt collection
· Administer payment of bills, invoices and staff expense claims
· Maintain records of invoices and receipts
· Prepare monthly reports for funders & Board
· Ensure financial controls are adhered to
· Assist in preparation of year end audit
· Assist with procurement and risk management process
· Ensure compliance with good financial governance in line with legalisation
· Undertake and other duties as requested by management
Essential Criteria
· Minimum 2 yrs. experience in a similar role
· Excellent IT Skills, particularly in Excel, MS Office, Sage and Payroll Software
· Excellent Organisations Skills
· Previous experience in financial control
· Hands-on experience in small/medium organisations desirable.
· An understanding of the Voluntary Sector
