What You'll Do:
Personal Care
- Assist clients with everyday activities such as dressing, bathing, toileting, mobility, and mealtimes.
- Help clients maintain their dignity, comfort, independence, and overall well-being.
- Provide care with kindness, patience, and respect at all times.
Companionship & Emotional Support
- Build positive relationships with clients through conversation and companionship.
- Encourage social interaction and engagement in daily activities.
- Support clients' emotional well-being by providing a caring and friendly presence.
Household Support
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Help create a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
Monitoring & Communication
- Keep accurate records of care provided.
- Observe and report any changes in a client's health, wellbeing, or behaviour to your supervisor promptly.
Professional Standards
- Follow all health and safety, safeguarding, and infection prevention procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and client care.
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will hold a QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, including modules such as:
- Care Skills
- Care of the Older Person
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare, homecare, or support role is preferred.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and health and safety procedures is an advantage.
