The Role
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair and continuous improvement of our manufacturing facility and associated equipment. This hands-on role is ideal for a qualified Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) who enjoys problem-solving, fault-finding, preventative maintenance and ensuring facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by maintaining building services, utilities, infrastructure and facility-related equipment to the highest standards of safety, reliability and compliance
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on facility and utility systems.
Diagnose and repair machinery and facility, utility and infrastructure-related equipment.
Maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, compressed air, water systems and other utilities.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance issues.
Assist with contractors, service visits and site projects.
Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures.
Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Support 5S and site housekeeping standards.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Essential
Qualified Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) or equivalent trade qualification.
5 years' minimum experience in a similar role
Manufacturing industry experience.
Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with preventative maintenance programmes.
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable
Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, utilities, HVAC and compressed air systems.
Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
