Site Foreman
Location: Gorey, Co. Wexford

Hartley People Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Site Foreman for a well-established construction contractor. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a project in the Gorey, with an expected duration of approximately 18 months.
This is a permanent role, and once this project is complete, the foreman will continue with the company on future projects.
This is a dedicated site role. The foreman will be on site every day, running operations from groundworks through to completion, acting as the main point of control for subcontractors, safety, materials, and day-to-day organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for daily site operations on a live construction project.
- Manage and coordinate all subcontractors and direct labour on site.
- Ensure works are carried out strictly in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, site cleanliness and organisation.
- Lead site health & safety, including toolbox talks, site inductions, safety files and RAMS.
- Manage RFIs, basic site paperwork and site records.
- Order materials, check pricing, and ensure value for money on general site purchases.
- Plan and sequence works to meet programme targets.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues before they escalate.
- Escalate accidents, cost-impacting issues, or programme-critical problems promptly.
- Maintain positive working relationships with architects, engineers and consultants.
- Ensure the site is safe, tidy, organised and ready for the following day before leaving.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Site Foreman or senior site supervisor.
- Strong background in residential / building construction, particularly internal and
- finishing stages.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and programme delivery.
- Strong health & safety knowledge, including site safety documentation and
- toolbox talks.
- Ability to read and build strictly to drawings.
- Organised, punctual and reliable with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing sites with 10–25 workers depending on project stage.
- Practical, common-sense approach to problem solving.
- Safe Pass and relevant CSCS tickets.
