This Senior Financial Analyst job in Westmeath supports the global IT function at this multinational company with budgeting, forecasting and business partnering as they execute projects internationally. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager locally in Ireland, you will partner with budget owners operating at a strategic level giving you visibility and influence.
This is not a Senior Financial Analyst job that sits in the background, it will suit you if you enjoy liaising with senior stakeholders where you are comfortable moving between helicopter overviews to the granular detail as and when required. Among your responsibilities include:
- Analyse monthly divisional performance and provide analysis on actual spend vs budget
- Act as a finance partner to senior/executive level leaders in the business
- Unearth cost drivers and put in place mitigation measures to prevent future overruns
- Contribute to annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting
- Co-ordinate monthly financial close and ensure correct accounting treatment of IT costs in line with US GAAP
- Utilise SAP to track project spend and ensure accurate reporting

They have created a Global Business Support division locally that supports manufacturing, distribution centre and now IT operations globally with additional business units to be added. The package on offer is valued at €80,000-€90,000 including a base salary, annual bonus, health insurance cover and company pension contributions.
To become the Senior Financial Analyst you will need experience supporting senior stakeholders from a finance perspective in a multinational setting with solid enterprise ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle or similar). You will also hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
