As a Facilities Manager you will manage the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. You will plan, budget and schedule facility and equipment modifications and tool installations, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. You will design and develop organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Overseeing the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services is important. Handling hazardous waste and following all regulatory guidelines associated with disposal will be important to this role. Responsibility for establishing and overseeing Environmental, Health, and Safety standards (EHS) which also includes managing environmental compliance with state and local agencies and interact regularly with outside agencies, vendors and service providers. Ideal candidate will have at least a basic understanding of waste water treatment and air permits.
- SUPERVISION: Manages the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Typically requires 5+ years of related supervisory or management experience. A technical certification, Bachelor's, or Associate's degree is preferred.
