Key Roles & Responsibilities – Warehouse Manager
1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch)
- Ensure efficient workflow and optimal space utilisation
- Meet agreed service levels (accuracy, turnaround times, OTIF delivery)
- Implement and continuously improve warehouse processes and SOPs
2. Inventory & Stock Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records within WMS/ERP systems
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO where applicable)
- Control shrinkage, damage, and losses
- Plan and conduct stocktakes and cycle counts
- Investigate and resolve stock variances
3. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies
- Carry out risk assessments and maintain RAMS
- Ensure safe operation of MHE (forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.)
- Lead accident, incident, and near‑miss reporting and investigations
- Ensure site compliance with audits (H&S, ISO, insurance)
- Act as part of the Fire Warden team and maintain first-aid training
4. People Management
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and supervision of warehouse staff
- Allocate duties and manage shift patterns
- Monitor performance and productivity
- Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary processes where required
- Promote a positive safety and performance culture
5. Cost & Budget Control
- Control consumables, packaging, and storage costs
- Identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
6. Systems & Reporting
- Ensure effective use of WMS and related warehouse systems
- Support system improvements and new implementations
- Maintain data accuracy and traceability
7. Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with transport providers, couriers, and suppliers
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, and customer service teams
- Manage escalations relating to delays, shortages, or damages
8. Security & Asset Protection
- Ensure site security procedures are followed
- Protect high‑value stock and assets
- Manage access control and CCTV compliance (where applicable)
9. Continuous Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies
- Lead process improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, etc.)
Pay: €50,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
