Senior Bartender / Food & Beverage Assistant
Errigal Country House Hotel – Cootehill, Co. Cavan
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team at the Errigal Country House Hotel.
This role would suit someone who is highly competent and confident behind the bar, has strong experience in a busy hospitality environment, and is also comfortable providing food service in our bars, restaurant and function areas when required.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, take responsibility during busy shifts and maintain a high standard of service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional and efficient bar service.
- Prepare and serve beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and other beverages to a high standard.
- Provide food and table service when required.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and confidently.
- Handle busy bar periods while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean and properly prepared before and after service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control.
- Support and guide less experienced members of the Food & Beverage team.
- Work across our bars, restaurant and function areas as required.
- Assist with weddings, functions and other busy hotel events.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong previous bar experience is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of bar service and drinks.
- Experience serving food in a restaurant, hotel or busy bar environment.
- Confident, professional and friendly when dealing with guests.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to take initiative and work without constant supervision.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Cocktail experience would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be someone who is hands-on, experienced and dependable. We are looking for a person who can come into a busy shift, know what needs to be done and help ensure both the bar and food service run smoothly.
