Storm Recruitment is partnering with a leading multinational manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead equipment engineering, automation strategy, and capital project delivery at their state-of-the-art facility in Clonmel.
This is a key leadership position offering the opportunity to drive automation, digital transformation, equipment reliability, and next-generation manufacturing technologies within a highly regulated production environment.
As Senior Engineering Manager, you will provide strategic leadership across equipment engineering, automation, capital projects, and operational excellence initiatives. You will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team while shaping the future manufacturing capability of the site.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in automation, manufacturing technologies, capital investment projects, and team leadership.

Champion digitalisation initiatives and data-driven manufacturing improvements.

Lead capital investment planning and project execution.

Manage project budgets, resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.

Oversee the full project lifecycle from concept and design through commissioning, validation, and operational handover.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment uptime, manufacturing performance, and yield optimisation.

Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Implement strategies to reduce downtime and enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Lead the design and development of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and automated systems.

Ensure scalable, maintainable, and robust engineering solutions are implemented across the site.

Drive standardisation and design-for-manufacturability principles.

Ensure all engineering systems meet regulatory, quality, and data integrity requirements.

Support validation activities and maintain compliance with GMP and industry standards.

Degree (NFQ Level 7 or higher) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Minimum 8 years' engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.

Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and technical projects.

Strong background in automation, equipment engineering, capital projects, and manufacturing systems.

Experience operating within a regulated environment such as medical devices, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Authorised to work in Ireland.
