Job Description:
To ensure maximum available uptime of production equipment and related service. You will inspect various production and service equipment and perform any corrective/preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in industrial maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to read and understand schematic diagrams and OEM manuals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all H&S requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the correct use of specified PPE and Housekeeping standards.
- Conducting routine inspections of equipment.
- Carry out corrective and preventative maintenance of production equipment and service equipment.
- Work with external contractors during equipment installation and onsite OEM service engineers.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
- Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and maintain printing and converting equipment, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
- Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
- Work with Maintenance manager to continually update the production process and system software.
- Attend daily shift meetings to prioritise work orders and minimise downtime.
- Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.
- Assess the condition of used parts using appropriate tools and specifications.
- Maintain parts and tools inventory.
- Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.
- Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on- going training, industry workshops and technical reading.
- Any other relevant duties that may be assigned.
