We're taking on an Apprentice Electrician in the Kerry region. This is a full SOLAS apprenticeship — you'll earn while you learn, working alongside experienced electricians on real projects and building toward your qualification. Second and third year apprentices is ideal, however first years will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Assist qualified electricians with installation, maintenance and repair work
- Learn to read and work from electrical drawings and specifications
- Prepare work areas, materials and tools for the day's tasks
- Build practical skills in cabling, containment, terminations and testing
- Follow all site health and safety procedures without exception
- Attend and complete all off-the-job training phases as scheduled
- Keep a record of work carried out for your apprenticeship portfolio
Requirements
- Genuine interest in becoming a qualified electrician
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent (or relevant work experience)
- Reliable, punctual and willing to take direction
- Comfortable with physical work, including outdoors and at heights
- Full clean driving licence, or working toward one
- Registered as an apprentice with SOLAS
- Based in or able to travel around the Kerry region
Nice to Have
- Safe Pass card
- Any previous construction or site experience
- Basic hand tool familiarity
- Manual Handling certification

Pay: €25,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
