Overview of Role
Ergo (a Presidio company) is seeking a Junior Print Engineer to install, configure, and maintain customer printers and copiers across Dublin. The role involves diagnosing hardware/software issues, performing routine maintenance, providing end-user training, and managing printer inventory and supplies. This position suits a dependable, customer-focused individual with prior printer support experience and a full driving licence.
Role & Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain printers, copiers, and related hardware at customer sites.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues affecting printer performance.
Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and repairs to ensure optimal printer operation.
Provide technical support and training to end-users on printer functions and troubleshooting.
Manage printer inventory, including ordering supplies, toner, and replacement parts.
Adhere to safety standards and protocols during all repair and maintenance operations.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Resolute, diligent, and strong customer service orientation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and support end-users.
Full, clean driving licence and access to a car (essential for regular travel between sites).
Experience:
Previous experience supporting/maintaining printers or similar hardware.
Hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and software issues in a field/service environment.
Proven ability to manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain accurate records.
Education & Certifications:
Relevant technical qualification or certification in IT, Engineering, or related discipline (desirable).
Manufacturer-specific printer certifications or training (advantageous).
Visa:
Irish/EU Citizen or Stamp 4 Visa holder.
