Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Manage and take ownership of civil and/or structural engineering and design package for a large data center across EU. Take a hands-on approach to managing the design and engineering from the design concept to RIBA3 through to RIBA4 and finally RIBA5. This will consist of managing throughout the construction phase to a successful handover to the client/end user.
Use their extensive knowledge and experience to support the development of the design alongside input design coordination and value engineering into the overall project.
Carry out detailed design reviews for tender bids for the company which will consist of: gap analysis, raise RFI’s, write Scope of Works value engineers.• Oversee and/or undertake civil engineering design and checks for the project from concept design to detailed engineering, planning support, construction and handover.
- Review and approve civil drawings, specifications and construction documents in alignment with project requirements and local codes.
- Review and implement value engineering in design for civil elements where applicable including 3D model coordination reviews.
- Collaborate with structural, architectural and MEP disciplines to integrate civil solutions that support complex underground infrastructures.
- Manage client meeting and coordinate engineering elements with clients designers (AE).
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and provide engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, sustainability goals, and industry best practices for mission-critical facilities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of civil design standards and innovation in data center construction methodologies.
- Conduct civil inspections of underground infrastructure and services such as precast concrete chambers and conduit routes.

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 7+ years of experience in Construction
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities.
- Proven experience in data centers
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership and team coordination
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Effective stakeholder communication and client engagement
- Navisworks – 3D model
- AutoCAD
- Proficient in civil engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, Revit, or equivalent BIM tools).
- Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to design and construction challenges.
- Skilled in preparing technical reports, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret geotechnical reports, topographical surveys, and utility data.
