About the Role
Brosnan Property Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Carpenter / Roofer to join our growing property maintenance and facilities management team.
We provide reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, repair and refurbishment services across residential, commercial and social housing properties throughout Munster.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to an experienced tradesperson with a strong background in carpentry, roofing and general property maintenance.
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, completing works safely, efficiently and to a high standard while maintaining a professional approach when dealing with clients and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out roofing repairs and general roof maintenance
- Repair and replace roof tiles, slates, ridges and associated roof components
- Carry out chimney repairs, leadwork, flashing repairs and associated roofing works
- Install and repair gutters, fascia and soffit where required
- Complete first-fix and second-fix carpentry
- Install stud framing, drylining/slabbing, timber trims, skirting and architraves
- Carry out general joinery and property maintenance repairs
- Assist with refurbishment and renovation projects
- Identify maintenance defects and determine appropriate repairs
- Work across residential, commercial and social housing properties
- Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, property managers and office staff
- Complete works in accordance with company health and safety procedures
- Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas
- Complete all works to a high standard of workmanship
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in carpentry, roofing and/or property maintenance
- Strong practical carpentry and roofing skills
- Valid Safe Pass
- Valid Manual Handling certification
- Full clean driving licence valid in Ireland
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional manner when dealing with clients, tenants and colleagues
- Good communication skills
- Authorised to work in Ireland
Desirable
- MEWP certification
- Own hand tools
- Previous experience in reactive property maintenance
- Previous experience in social housing or facilities management
- Experience working across occupied residential properties
