Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within our nursing home. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with HIQA standards, provide strong clinical leadership, and support the development and performance of a skilled and dedicated care team.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure the highest standards of nursing and social care for all residents.

Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, company policies, and quality standards.

Oversee care planning, clinical audits, and continuous quality improvement.

Lead staff recruitment, induction, training, and performance management.

Manage budgets, administrative processes, and resident financial oversight.

Maintain strong relationships with community services and external agencies.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, fire safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.

Manage and investigate complaints and service improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a live NMBI registration.

Minimum 3 years’ experience caring for older persons.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a healthcare management role.

Post-registration management qualification in healthcare or related field.

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
