HR Manager / HR Advisor (Standalone Role)
Bluebird Care Dublin South · Full-time, on-site · €55,000–€65,000 DOE
Own the HR function. Shape the culture. Make it yours.
Most HR roles hand you someone else's playbook. This one hands you a blank page.
We're Bluebird Care Dublin South, a growing home care provider supporting 150+ Healthcare Assistants and care professionals across South Dublin — and we're bringing our HR in-house for the first time. We're looking for one experienced, hands-on HR professional to step in, take the reins, and build the function from the ground up.
This isn't a generalist seat in a big HR team. You'll be HR for the organisation — the trusted advisor managers turn to, the person who sets the standard, and a genuine partner to senior leadership as we grow.
If you've ever wanted real ownership without the layers of bureaucracy, this is it.
Why you'll love this role
- Full ownership — you lead the HR function, set the agenda, and see your decisions land
- A seat at the table — report directly to the Head of Operations and partner with senior management on growth and strategy
- Visible impact — in home care, good HR is the reason great carers stay, and the people we support feel that every single day
- Room to build — shape new policies, processes and initiatives as we expand into new services
- Autonomy with support — a collaborative office team of 10+ has your back
What you'll be doing
- Coaching and advising managers through employee relations — disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence
- Leading workplace investigations and resolving issues fairly and confidently
- Building and embedding HR policies, procedures and best practice
- Keeping HR systems and records accurate, compliant and audit-ready
- Supporting recruitment and workforce planning alongside the Head of Recruitment
- Driving employee engagement, retention and a positive workplace culture
- Identifying training needs and supporting learning and development
- Partnering with leadership on organisational change and new service developments
- Producing HR reporting that drives real decisions
What you'll bring
- 3+ years' experience as an HR Manager or HR Advisor
- A third-level qualification in HR or a related discipline (CIPD desirable)
- Strong, hands-on employee relations experience
- In-depth knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice
- The confidence to work independently and own the function end to end
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and discretion
A bonus, not a must: experience in a standalone HR role, organisational change / M&A, trade union engagement, or a healthcare / regulated environment.
What we offer
- €55,000–€65,000 depending on experience
- A standalone role with genuine autonomy and ownership
- A supportive, collaborative team where your work is seen and valued
- Real professional development opportunities
- The chance to make a lasting impact at Bluebird Care Dublin South — an organisation that puts people first
