Afterschool Assistant
Dolphins Early Education and Childcare Centre, Laytown
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and energetic Afterschool Assistant to join our team at Dolphins Early Education and Childcare Centre.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine love and passion for working with school-age children and who can create a fun, safe and welcoming environment for children after their school day.
The Role
- Supporting children with their afterschool routine and activities
- Providing engaging, age-appropriate activities and play
- Supporting children with homework and schoolwork
- Creating a positive, caring and inclusive environment
- Working as part of a friendly and supportive childcare team
- Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all children
Hours
Term Time: Monday–Friday, approximately 1:30pm–6:00pm
School Holidays: Full-time hours, Monday–Friday
Requirements
- No childcare qualification is required for this position
- A genuine love and passion for working with school-age children is essential
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- A childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, caring and enthusiastic approach
- Garda Vetting will be required
