The Arklow Bay Hotel is a well-established 4-star hotel located in the picturesque seaside town of Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The hotel boasts 91 bedrooms, many with stunning bay views, extensive Conference & Banqueting facilities for up to 450 guests, and excellent dining options including The Pottery Restaurant and the Ferrybank Lounge.
Our Bay Health & Leisure Club features an 18-metre swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym, aerobics studio, and the Bay Beauty Rooms, offering a wide range of body and beauty treatments. Arklow is conveniently located just 64km from Dublin with excellent train and bus links.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Duty Manager to join our management team.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while supporting and leading the hotel team across all departments.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Duty Manager
- Strong hospitality background essential
- Excellent Food & Beverage experience, particularly within a busy hotel or restaurant environment
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding guest service, maintaining the highest standards at all times
- Ability to lead, guide and motivate teams, setting performance standards and monitoring results
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability with a flexible and adaptable approach
- Knowledge of hotel software systems such as Hotsoft is an advantage
