The Position
Forvis Mazars are seeking a Financial Advisory Manager to play a key leadership role within its Advisory & Restructuring team, delivering high ‑ quality financial analysis and insight, restructuring solutions, formal insolvency assignments, to a range of clients. The role involves preparing detailed financial and operational analysis, and leading client engagements during time ‑ sensitive and often complex situations. The Manager will be responsible for driving excellent service delivery, managing diverse stakeholders, and contributing to the continued growth and development of the advisory and restructuring team.
You will work on a wide range of Advisory assignments including insolvency and, corporate restructuring assignments, business valuation, fundraising and general business advisory services while working alongside experienced advisory professionals. A key requirement of the position is an ability to understand and interpret figures and data, good report writing skills and a willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills and deploy same on ongoing assignments. Key Responsibilities

- Proactive role in delivery of advisory assignments
- Interact directly with clients and target businesses in the delivery of independent business reviews and other assignments
- Manage a portfolio of insolvency appointments
- Effectively plan and resource staff on assignments.
- Manage and nurture relationships with clients and other business contacts
- Preparation of detailed reports for clients and attendance at client meetings
- Ability to undertake detailed analysis of financial performance and the underlying financial position of a business, highlighting the key risks and issues pertaining to the business.
- Ability to quickly come to terms with / research the characteristics of different business sectors.
- Preparation and interrogation of financial models including integrated profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow projections.
Experience in challenging financial and non-financial aspects of target businesses

Ideal Candidate
- Qualified accountant with experience in a practice environment
- 5 + years’ experience in advisory, restructuring, insolvency or corporate recovery
- Strong knowledge of insolvency legislation, statutory reporting requirements, and regulatory frameworks (jurisdiction ‑ specific).
- Demonstrable experience managing advisory engagements and/or formal insolvency cases.
- Advanced financial analysis and cashflow modelling skills.
- A motivated, enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and deliver under pressure
- Ability to assimilate facts and make decisions based on same
- Fluent English with good report writing and written communication skills
Excellent technical skills with a drive to succeed, advance and deliver to the highest standard
