We are now seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Accommodation Supervisor to join our dedicated housekeeping team and help maintain the exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation our guests have come to expect.

The Arklow Bay Hotel is a 91-bedroom, family-run property renowned for its warm hospitality, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to guest satisfaction.
As Accommodation Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are consistently achieved throughout the hotel. Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, you'll support the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department, motivate the team, and help create a welcoming environment for every guest.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, the Accommodation Supervisor will assist in the daily operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring guest bedrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards. You will lead by example, supporting and supervising the housekeeping team, carrying out room inspections, coordinating daily workloads, and ensuring all cleaning procedures comply with hotel policies and health & safety standards. Your focus will be on maintaining exceptional levels of cleanliness and presentation while ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable and memorable stay.
The Role
Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, the Accommodation Supervisor will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the accommodation department. You will lead by example, ensuring all guest bedrooms and public areas are presented to the highest standard, while supporting and motivating the housekeeping team.
This role is ideal for a proactive hospitality professional with strong organisational skills and a passion for quality and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the housekeeping team in preparing guest bedrooms and maintaining public areas to the highest standard
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and ongoing development
- Monitor and maintain housekeeping standards across bedrooms, conference suites, and leisure facilities
- Allocate daily room and cleaning tasks to ensure efficient workflow
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and hygiene regulations
- Liaise closely with the Maintenance department to report and resolve issues promptly
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous housekeeping experience, ideally within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to high standards
- Be proactive, reliable, and able to lead by example
- Be a supportive team player with the ability to motivate and encourage colleagues
