We are seeking an experienced Red Hat OpenShift Platform Associate Manager to join our Digital Core team and contribute to large-scale transformation initiatives across enterprise technology platforms. Digital Core focuses on the technology foundations that enable organisations to adapt and reinvent, bringing together modern digital platforms, cloud-first infrastructure, data and AI capabilities, and security by design. In this , you will help engineer and evolve secure, resilient and scalable OpenShift platforms that underpin critical enterprise workloads.
Responsibilities:
As a Red Hat OpenShift Platform Associate Manager, you will be responsible for engineering, evolving and supporting enterprise-grade OpenShift Container Platform environments. You will work across platform build, automation, lifecycle management, security, reliability and operational readiness, helping to provide a secure and resilient container platform for critical workloads.
Your day-to-day activities will include hands-on platform engineering, troubleshooting and automation, working with architects, infrastructure teams, application teams and operations to deliver consistent platform services. You will contribute technical expertise to platform design decisions, lead complex engineering activities within your area, and help establish standards and reusable patterns for OpenShift adoption.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Design, build, configure and continuously improve Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments across enterprise on-premises and hybrid infrastructure.
- Own and execute OpenShift platform lifecycle activities including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, capacity management and cluster health management.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and platform automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible, with a focus on repeatability, standardisation and reduced manual effort.
- Implement and support GitOps-based platform and application deployment patterns using technologies such as Argo CD and enterprise CI/CD tooling.
- Engineer secure platform capabilities including RBAC, network policies, secrets and certificate management, image security, policy enforcement and integration with enterprise identity and security services.
- Support and optimise core OpenShift services and ecosystem components such as cluster networking, storage, registries, ingress, operators and service mesh.
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to improve availability, resilience, observability, performance and operational supportability of the platform.
- Implement and enhance monitoring, logging and alerting, and use platform telemetry to identify risks, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex platform incidents and recurring problems, including root-cause analysis and implementation of preventative actions.
- Work closely with Red Hat and other technology vendors where required to resolve product issues and support platform roadmap decisions.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, engineering standards, operational runbooks and reusable platform patterns.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and delivery teams adopting OpenShift, sharing knowledge and promoting strong cloud-native, DevSecOps and platform engineering practices.
