Hartley People Recruitment is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join our client’s team in Kilkenny.
This role is a day role boasting a competitive salary with deliveries around the southeast and Dublin/Louth areas. The successful candidate should have a full, clean C driving licence and experience driving a rigid truck. The role is suited to a candidate who is experienced in loading and unloading of trucks using forklifts.
The vehicle for this role is a 29ft rigid truck and will need to be driven on construction sites.
The Job
Key Responsibilities:
· Carry out daily deliveries and collections as scheduled by the transport team.
· Drive safely and efficiently, ensuring all drop-offs and pickups are completed on time.
· Load and unload goods using forklift, ensuring items are handled safely and securely.
· Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report any maintenance issues, and follow all road safety guidelines.
· Provide friendly, professional customer service at collection/delivery points.
· Complete basic paperwork or digital logs related to deliveries.
· Adhere to all Health and Safety standards
The Person
Competencies:
· Full, clean C driving licence (mandatory).
· Forklift licenced (preferred)
· Previous experience in a driving or delivery role is an advantage.
· Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
· Good communication skills and professional manner.
· Physically capable of handling light-to-moderate lifting when loading/unloading.
· Flexible as the schedule is prone to changing.
