We seek to appoint a Research Fellow to join the ‘Understanding Determinants of Future Vehicle Demand (UDev)’ project to investigate future car demand, focusing on electric vehicles, hybrid technologies, mobility behaviour, and the economic drivers influencing long-term transport patterns with a particular focus on Ireland. The appointment is a specific purpose contract, to commence on 20th July 2026 or shortly thereafter.
The project deliverables are anticipated to be completed within one year, after which the project will conclude. Deliverables include:
- Submission of a peer reviewed journal paper on behavioural aspects of future car use
- Policy paper for a lay-audience
- Workshop in collaboration with the Trinity Sustainability office
- Presentation at international conference(s)
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Economics with research expertise in behavioural economics applied to transport or energy.
