At Golden Bake, we play as one team. Based in Coolock, Dublin 17, we’re a proudly Irish-owned food manufacturer producing delicious ready-to-bake products for customers across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and beyond.
Since 1987, our team has grown to over 130 strong, operating from a 100,000 sq ft facility—including a brand new, state-of-the-art production space—with the capability to produce up to 50,000 products per hour.

What We Need Help With
At Golden Bake, we believe every role is essential to the success of the team—and this one is no exception.
We are excited to announce that we are adding a new localised layer of leadership on the production floor in newly created Section Lead roles. We’re looking for hands-on, people-focused and results driven Section Leads to take ownership of a key area on the production floor and lead their team to consistent, high-performance results.
What We’re Looking For
Reporting to the Team Captain, the Section Lead plays a vital role in our food manufacturing operations, responsible for leading a designated section of the production floor to achieve key business results. This role is an active, hands-on people leader who coaches, motivates, and develops both new and experienced team members. The Section Lead ensures that safety, quality, productivity, cost delivery, and morale targets are consistently met or exceeded.
The Role
- Safety: Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all safety protocols are understood, followed, and enforced. Proactively identify hazards and support incident investigations.
- Quality: Oversee adherence to food safety and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections, address deviations promptly, and coach team members on best practices to guarantee product quality.
- Productivity: Monitor daily production metrics, allocate resources efficiently, and remove barriers to team performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and output.
- Cost: Manage section resources to meet cost targets. Reduce waste, support lean manufacturing initiatives, and ensure optimal use of materials, labour, and equipment.
- Delivery: Manage the delivery of key production metrics for your area including throughput, giveaway and waste
- Morale: Foster a positive, inclusive team environment. Recognize achievements, address concerns fairly, and support professional development for all section members.
- Actively onboard and train new colleagues, providing clear expectations and hands-on support.
- Mentor experienced staff, encouraging skill development and cross-training.
- Set daily priorities, conduct team huddles, and communicate goals and feedback effectively.
- Address performance issues constructively and celebrate team successes
Requirements
- Experience in food manufacturing or a similar fast-paced production environment
- Proven leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in food production
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities
KPIS
- Safety: Number of incidents, near-miss reporting, safety audit scores
- Quality: Product rejection, on hold rates & complaints, compliance with food safety standards, timely close out and eliminating reoccurrences of GMP & Foreign Body issues.
- Productivity: Units produced per shift, downtime, on-time delivery rate
- Cost: Material usage variance
- Delivery: Throughput, giveaway and waste
- Morale: Employee engagement scores, retention rates, team feedback

- €18.50 per hour + 10% Shift Allowance

Pay: €42,328.00 per year
