Comeragh Machinery & Auto Repairs is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanic to join our team and complete the recognised SOLAS Construction Plant Fitting Apprenticeship.
The Role
You'll receive hands-on training while learning to:
- Carry out servicing and repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles
- Service, maintain and repair forklifts and material handling equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Use modern workshop tools and diagnostic equipment
- Work safely and to a high standard
Who We're Looking For
- We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and keen to learn.
- An interest in cars, machinery or mechanics is important, but previous experience isn't essential.
- Applicants must meet the relevant SOLAS apprenticeship entry requirements.
- Applicant must hold either a full drivers licence or learners permit
- Commitment to a 4-year programme that involves both on and off-the-job training which will require travel to designated Solas Centres
