You will be instrumental in fostering a strong financial culture and ensuring performance transparency.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations visiting brokers or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:

Proactively engage with business units as the primary finance contact to understand their strategies, operational challenges, and financial needs.
-
Facilitate and support key performance review processes, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), CEO Dialogue preparation, and other performance management cycles.
-
Develop and present comprehensive financial reports and dashboards that clearly articulate financial performance, key drivers, and future outlook for business units.
-
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis against budget/forecast, trend analysis, and cost-benefit analysis, to identify opportunities and risks.
-
Support the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning processes for assigned business units, including a focus on the expense element.
-
Collaborate closely with the FP&A Manager to ensure alignment of financial planning processes, share insights, and support continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and financial analysis.
-
Collaborate closely with the Expense Manager to drive rigorous expense management across business units, identifying areas for cost optimisation and efficiency gains. Highlight areas of overspending and potential savings to ensure financial discipline.
What we’re looking for:
-
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in a finance role, with at least 2-3 years in a Finance Business Partnering capacity within a large, complex organisation (essential)
-
Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience (essential)
-
Demonstrable experience within the insurance or broader financial services industry is a significant advantage
-
Proven track record of supporting business units, providing financial insights, and facilitating performance reviews
-
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and expense management
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Strong presentation skills are essential
-
Proven ability to build strong relationships, influence decision-makers, and challenge constructively across all levels of an organisation
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom.
