You will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive compliance framework across a broad range of activities including lending, leasing, trading, and futures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements across Ireland and Europe. Working closely with senior stakeholders, including front office teams and the Board, you will provide clear regulatory advice, embed strong conduct risk practices, and enable effective decision-making. You will oversee monitoring, reporting and risk-based reviews, driving timely resolution of issues while strengthening controls and policies to support evolving business needs. In partnership with regional colleagues’ senior leadership, including Legal, you will guide the implementation of assess regulatory change, guide its implementation, and ensure the organisation remains proactive and resilient in a dynamic environment
You will also play a key role in promoting a strong compliance culture by developing training programmes, supporting staff in managing risks, and fostering high standards of conduct and engagement across the organisation. This Director-level role reports directly to the CEO for day-to-day activities, to the Chair for key risk and policy matters, and functionally into the EMEA Head of Business Compliance within Commodities and Global Markets.
The Head of Compliance role is Pre Approval Controlled Function (PCF 12). As such, serving in this role is conditional on appointment by the Board of Directors, meeting Central Bank of Ireland suitability requirements and formal approval from the Central Bank of Ireland, in addition to ongoing compliance with the requirements under the Central Bank (Individual Accountability Framework) Act 2023
