Job Opportunity: Early Years Educator, School Age Practitioner
Location: Play Together Childcare, Carlow (multiple locations)
Position: Full-time
Play Together Childcare is a welcoming, child-centred service in Carlow committed to providing high-quality Early Years care and education. In line with demand we are expanding and are currently seeking dedicated Early Years Educators and School Age Practitioners to join our friendly and professional team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and review developmentally appropriate activities in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks
- Support children’s learning through play in a nurturing and inclusive environment
- Maintain a safe, stimulating and caring atmosphere for children aged 1–5 years
- Communicate effectively with families and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each child
- Ensure compliance with Tusla and regulatory requirements
- Lead Educator role for the Montessori preschool and pre ECCE rooms
- Part-time AIM support required for the Montessori preschool (term-time only)
Requirements
- Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education (Level 6 desirable)
- Level 7/8 required for Lead Educator role
- Knowledge of Aistear & Síolta and best practice in Early Years education
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Garda Vetting and 2 references will be required before commencement
