MicksGarage.com, one of Europe’s leading automotive eCommerce platforms, is on the lookout for a high-energy, people-centric Operations Lead to drive performance and execution on our warehouse floor in Swinford, Co. Mayo.
We are seeking a powerhouse leader to manage, motivate, and drive the team to an exceptional standard. As the Operations Lead, your primary mandate is people and execution. You will ensure the floor runs like clockwork, targets are hit, and staff performance and attendance are managed to an elite level.
Key Responsibilities1. Exceptional People Management
- Performance & Attendance: Take absolute ownership of staff attendance, punctuality, and performance management. Conduct reviews and address issues directly and fairly.
- Team Motivation & Culture: Build a high-performing, positive floor culture where clear accountability is the standard, not the exception.
- Resource Planning: Manage rotas, holiday schedules, and floor allocation to ensure the warehouse is always optimally staffed for peak periods.
- Supervisor Support: Act as the direct leadership line above our supervisor team, empowering them to execute daily tasks while you remove roadblocks.
2. Floor Execution & Target Delivery
- Output & Dispatch: Keep the floor focused on hitting daily dispatch, throughput, and packing targets.
- Quality Control: Maintain and audit strict quality control standards to ensure our customers get the right parts, on time, perfectly packed.
- Health & Safety Culture: Instill a zero-tolerance culture for untidy or unsafe floor practices. Ensure a visually impressive, clean, and compliant working environment.
3. General Administration & Problem Solving
- Stock & Supplies Admin: Take charge of ordering, tracking, and reporting on packaging supplies and warehouse consumables so the team never runs short.
- Operational Reporting: Compile daily/weekly reports on floor efficiency, waste management, and target achievements.
- Active Problem Solving: Be the go-to person on the floor to resolve daily operational hiccups, vendor discrepancies, or internal bottlenecks quickly.

- Logistics familiarity - 2–3 years in an operations or fast-paced warehouse environment is preferred but not essential, though a strong background in general floor/team management is required.
