RAIMS® WEP invites law graduates, qualified solicitors, and barristers to join the RAIMS® Work Experience Program (WEP) — a 100-day supervised program designed to help legal professionals upskill into the role of AI Governance Practitioner in regulated industries.
Orcawise | RAIMS® is a Responsible AI Management System, is used by regulated companies to operationalize AI governance across enterprise environments and align legal, technical, and risk requirements across frameworks including the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, and TOGAF.
This a structured, portfolio-based work experience program for ambitious legal professionals who want to build practical AI governance capability and move into new and emerging legal and compliance roles across compliance, risk, legal operations, enterprise architecture, and responsible AI.
Why this program?
AI governance is now a serious legal, operational, and strategic discipline. Organisations in financial services, healthcare, technology, legal and compliance and other regulated sectors need professionals who can bridge legal analysis, governance design, risk controls, and implementation.
If you are a law graduate or an experienced lawyer looking to add AI Governance Leadership, to your skill-set, this program gives you a supervised route to build the skills, portfolio, and credibility to make that transition.
Who this is for?
We are looking for applicants who are one of the following:
- Law graduates with an LLB, LLM, or PhD.
- Qualified solicitors or barristers.
- Professionals with 2+ years’ experience in tech law, IP, privacy, data protection, compliance, or regulated-sector advisory.
- Candidates with a any strong academic record, analytical ability, and a serious interest in AI governance.
You do not need to code.
You do need:
- Legal judgment.
- Strong writing and research skills.
- Intellectual curiosity about AI and technology.
- A practical mindset.
- A desire to build a career in enterprise AI governance.
What you will do?
Participants will work on supervised client-relevant and portfolio-building assignments such as:
- Mapping the EU AI Act to practical governance controls.
- Building RAIMS® governance frameworks for enterprise use cases.
- Preparing high-risk AI audit reports and Article 9-aligned governance documentation.
- Drafting regulator-ready evidence packs and governance records.
- Designing control libraries, review workflows, and AI risk documentation.
- Developing red-team scenarios and enterprise implementation case studies.
- Contributing to AI governance assessments in sectors such as finance, healthcare, and life sciences.
Portfolio deliverables:
By the end of the program, you will have built a professional AI governance portfolio that may include:
- EU AI Act / ISO 42001 governance mapping
- High-risk AI audit report
- AI governance evidence pack
- Enterprise AI governance case study
- Risk control framework
- Implementation-ready governance artefacts
These deliverables are intended to demonstrate job-ready capability for AI governance roles in regulated industries.
