We are looking for a Horticulturist to join our garden centre team in Malahide.
What are we looking for?
To successfully fill this role you should maintain the behaviours, skills and values that follow:
- Excellent customer service
- Working as part of the horticultural team on the plant floor
- Providing advice and guidance in relation to plant care and maintenance, gardening products and equipment
- Advising customers on plant choice and general gardening queries
- Maintaining attractive plant displays and keeping the look of the plant area strong and clear
- To be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting pots and bags of compost, moving large trollies of plants and plant tables etc.
- On occasion to able to perform maintenance duties on the grounds of the garden centre, such as cutting hedges and spraying weed killer
- Horticultural qualification and/or horticultural experience is preferable
Other:
- This is a full-time 40 hours per week permanent role (after probation period)
- Working 5 out of 7 days (including one weekend day as mandatory)
- 20 days Annual Leave
