We are seeking an experienced and passionate Person in Charge (PIC) to lead our nursing home team and oversee the delivery of exceptional standards of care, compliance, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of service delivery. Key Responsibilities

Provide effective leadership and management across all aspects of nursing home operations

Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, regulations, and best practice guidelines

Oversee clinical governance, quality assurance, and resident care standards

Lead, support, and develop multidisciplinary teams

Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, respect, and excellence

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident experience and outcomes

Manage operational performance while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety

Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
About You
We are looking for a dedicated healthcare leader who has:

Active NMBI registration as a Registered Nurse

Significant experience in senior nursing, management, or leadership roles within residential care
-
Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and healthcare compliance requirements

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
-
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
-
A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Qualifications & Experience

Experience working as a Person in Charge or Assistant Director of Nursing is highly desirable

Strong understanding of nursing home operations, governance, and quality improvement processes

Experience managing teams within a long-term care setting

Ability to balance operational responsibilities with a commitment to resident wellbeing and care excellence
