About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on engineer to join our Engineering team on site, supporting and improving our manufacturing processes, with a focus on insulated panel production and rollforming lines.
This is a practical, shop-floor-based role where you will be an active contributor to daily operations, while also supporting the planning and coordination of maintenance activities.
The role suits someone who is a self-starter and has a very strong practical knowledge. Extensive production environment experience and a desire and capability to lead a team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working as part of the Engineering team, supporting day-to-day production
- Keeping production lines running efficiently and safely on rollforming and panel lines
- Troubleshooting, root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions for issues
- Contributing to the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities
- Supporting preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
- Working closely with operators and engineering to resolve issues
- Making practical improvements to processes and workflows
- Quickly taking on responsibility for coordinating and guiding a small team
What We’re Looking For
Must Have
- Experience working with manufacturing machinery or production lines
- Strong hands-on and proven troubleshooting ability
- Proven experience of working with mechanical/electrical and control systems in production
- Comfortable working on the shop floor in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in rollforming, steel, or panel manufacturing
- A recognised technical qualification
- Exposure to maintenance planning or scheduling
- Familiarity with production systems / ERP
