Role: Senior Faculty Officer - IOM
Duration: 18 month FTC
Report to: Faculties Manager

Post Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following but are not limited to.
IOM Faculties Planning and Support
- Ensure that the IOM has appropriate resources assigned to it and that these resources are supported.
- Ensure the development of an agreed annual business plan for the IOM, in conjunction with the Faculties Manager and IOM Officers line with the strategy and objectives which in turn are aligned with that of the RCPI.
- Initiate, plan, prioritize and track workload to ensure that all IOM activities and tasks are delivered within specified/agreed timelines from the business plan in conjunction with the Faculties Manager
- Where appropriate, represent the IOM on strategic projects.
- Support and develop a culture of continuous improvement, excellent Clinician experience, collegiality, and partnership with key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the annual communications and marketing planning for the IOM.
Governance
- Responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery and application of IOM governance structures.
- Ensure full compliance with the highest governance standards as set by the RCPI Executive and Council.
- Contribute to IOM annual reporting structures.
Operations
- Design and streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency and faculty experience for IOM and in line with wider faculties structures
- Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures in conjunction with internal audit practices for IOM
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster partnerships and collaborations.
- Attendance, in person, at faculties related events and governance meetings in line with the IOM Officer Days (minimum 2 days onsite per week, more onsite days required around IOM events)
- Contribute to annual business planning for the Registry workstream.
- Provision of administrative support, manages records, and assists with departmental tasks for assigned Faculties and Institutes
- General Faculty Administrative Support: Assists faculty officers with administrative tasks.
- Stakeholder Management, coordinating communication and collaboration with faculty and institute stakeholders.
- Recruitment support to fill vacant faculty roles.
- Maintenance of RCPI standing orders ensuring compliance with established procedures and developing new approaches in line with international best practice.
- Management of committee and governance structures.
- Management of end to endevents and continuing professional development (CPD) activities.
- Contribute to the production of Faculty facing reports in support of Faculty Officers.
- Contribute to faculty business development and conversion to membership in conjunction with the Alumni Relationship Officer and Membership Officer
- Management of IOMaligned sponsorship (with defined targets).
- Project management experience in a similar role is required.
The successful applicant will have three years’ experience in a comparable education environment, with experience in medical training or programme management desirable:
- A third level qualification.
- Project management qualification and experience.

- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills with the ability to drive consensus among various internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter, proven leadership, and team-oriented skills.
- Excellent ICT Skills (CRM Software, MS Suite, Quercus, and Kaizen), strong report writing skills and an appreciation of IT systems and solutions.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability together with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, including stakeholder management.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge and experience of business management and financial management.
- Attention to detail, analytical and business planning skills required.
