Responsible for the day to day upkeep of the canteen and kitchen facilities, the role supports food safety, hygiene, hospitality services, and stock management. The Canteen Assistant role exists to ensure the smooth day to day operation, cleanliness, and organisation of the employee canteen and kitchen area.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the canteen and kitchen areas are maintained in a clean, tidy, and hygienic condition at all times.

Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards (HACCP training will be provided).

Receive, check, and store deliveries appropriately.
-
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including coffee machines.

Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment regularly.

Clean and maintain fridges and food storage areas.
-
Support the preparation and heating of food brought in by employees.

Assist with internal hospitality and events, including:

Preparing tea/coffee.

Setting up meeting rooms.

Serving light refreshments through to hot meals.

Post event clean up in a timely manner.

Monitor and replenish supplies as needed.

Identify opportunities to improve the canteen service and overall experience.
