ASA Solar is a newly established Solar PV installation company delivering high-quality solar solutions for homes and businesses across Ireland.
Although ASA Solar is a new company, it is backed by the experience, reputation and operational strength of ASA, an established access control, security and automation business with over 20 years’ experience working across domestic and commercial projects nationwide.
We are now looking for an experienced Lead Solar PV Roofer / Solar PV Installer to join the business at an early stage and play a key role in building our solar roofing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong roofing and Solar PV installation experience who wants to take ownership of high-quality installs, help shape standards, and grow with the company as the business develops.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and carrying out the roofing element of Solar PV installations across domestic and commercial properties.
You will ensure panels, mounting systems and roof works are installed safely, neatly and to a high standard, while coordinating closely with electricians, management and office staff to ensure each project runs smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and carry out Solar PV panel and mounting system installations on various roof types, including slate, tile and metal roofing.
- Ensure all roofing works are completed safely, professionally and in line with company standards.
- Work on both domestic and commercial Solar PV projects.
- Coordinate with electricians, project management and office staff throughout each installation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, property owners and site contacts.
- Ensure installations are completed within agreed timelines wherever possible.
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, particularly around working at heights.
- Support the development of installation standards, processes and best practices as ASA Solar grows.
- Represent ASA Solar professionally on site and contribute to a high-quality customer experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ roofing experience, ideally across both domestic and commercial properties.
- Previous Solar PV installation experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of roof types, mounting systems and safe installation practices.
- Comfortable working at heights and following health and safety procedures.
- Ability to lead by example and support other members of the installation team.
- Strong communication skills when dealing with customers, colleagues and site contacts.
- A professional, reliable and tidy approach to work.
- Relevant roofing, Solar PV, health and safety, working at heights, manual handling or Safe Pass qualifications are preferred.
