Job Description:
Part-Time School Bus Driver required for the South Dublin area. As this is a local school run, please do not apply if you are not located within the proximity of the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Area.
This role involves safely transporting schoolchildren to and from school activities, ensuring their well-being during the journey. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanour, excellent driving skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. This role may particularly suit a retired person or someone seeking part-time work.
Please note: hours vary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a bus (16-33 seater or similar) to transport children to and from school.
- Adhere to the set schedule, ensuring punctuality for pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in excellent working condition.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle at all times.
- Provide a welcoming and safe environment for schoolchildren during transport.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Valid D Driving License
- CPC Certification (Certificate of Professional Competence) is desirable but not essential.
- A clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of the South Dublin area and routes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and follow schedules.
- Patience, reliability, and a calm demeanour.

- Hours: Part time, split between mornings and afternoons/ school activities.
