Lead Group Ireland is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading construction organisation delivering high-quality projects across Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project teams, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-start through to handover.
- Take ownership of project planning, programming, site operations, logistics, procurement, design coordination, quality, health and safety, and overall project performance.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project programmes, ensuring resources are effectively planned and available to meet key milestones.
- Identify potential project risks, delays, and challenges at an early stage and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular project updates and reports covering progress, programme, quality, safety, and commercial performance.
- Coordinate with design teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Support the resolution of design and technical issues while ensuring all deliverables align with project timelines.
- Manage procurement schedules and coordinate subcontractor and material requirements.
- Assist with tender submissions, construction methodologies, and pre-construction activities when required.
- Lead, motivate, and support project teams through effective communication, delegation, and mentoring.
- Chair regular site meetings, coordinate actions, and ensure project documentation is maintained accurately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety legislation, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across projects, ensuring all site activities are carried out safely and in accordance with required procedures.
- Oversee safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements, permits, inspections, and project safety plans.
- Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required.
- Ensure subcontractors and site teams maintain the required standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes, including inspections, testing plans, and quality documentation.
- Monitor project workmanship and ensure all works are completed to specification and client expectations.
- Maintain accurate site records, photographs, reports, and project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience managing construction projects from inception through to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and site operations.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating subcontractors.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning software such as MS Project.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality projects.
