Job Description:
The GMO Risk Function provides a centralized and consistent approach to risk management across Global Markets Operations. It is structured into two complementary components, Horizontal Risk Functions and Vertical Risk Functions. You will deliver a centralized view of GMO risk across the organisation. Lead centralized resiliency planning, regulatory and audit oversight. You will promote consistency in risk governance and control practices. As a senior business control specialist you will strengthen the overall risk and control environment by supporting key business control activities.
Responsibilities:

Risk Governance & Reporting: Develop and deliver consistent risk reporting and governance routines. Prepare materials for internal and external risk forums, including business control committees.

Internal & External Response Management: Lead Operating Posture Monitoring (OPM) routines. Provide an aggregated view of incidents and issues affecting GMO processes, including technology disruptions, workforce challenges, market events, and volume spikes.
- Regulatory & Policy Oversight: Coordinate GMO’s adherence to laws, rules, regulations (LRR), and internal policy changes. Lead initiatives to demonstrate compliance and readiness for regulatory reviews.

Lead Strategic BAU Reporting Oversight, Overseeing the end-to-end production of critical materials for internal and external forums where GMO is a key stakeholder. Ensure content is aligned with strategic priorities and delivered with precision and consistency.

Executive-Level Risk & Performance Reporting. Delivering high-impact, data-driven insights through concise risk and performance materials. Prepare executive briefing notes and presentations to support GMO Leadership in decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

Lead cross-functional collaboration to fulfill reporting and analytical requests (e.g., GMO Risk Data, Exceptions, Single Process Inventory, Metrics) from key stakeholders including GMO LOBs, Internal Audit, GCOR, and Global Markets leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build strong partnerships across Global ORC, FLUs, and enterprise teams including Technology, Global Operations, and Global Markets. Navigates matrixed environments with influence and diplomacy.
Additional skills:
Tableau Expertise: Experience in publishing, scheduling, and refreshing reports on Tableau Server. Familiar with multiple BI implementations, including the design of intuitive dashboards and ad-hoc reporting solutions.
