Role
Purpose of the role:

As Global Initiatives & Events Executive, you will collaborate with all TI teams, markets and agencies and manage the development, execution and delivery of the global program of activities that reside under the Global Initiatives & Events team within the wider Brand and Marcomms team.

Project manage key global events such as St Patrick’s Day, Home of Halloween, Winter in Ireland and other pan-market strategic moments and opportunities.

Take a leadership role of the planning, communications and management of assigned programmes and campaigns, taking responsibility for delivery and outcomes and supporting the Manager on strategic direction.
- Drive collaboration with internal teams and external partners to prepare and provide curated content to align with key events that elevate Ireland.
- Evaluate and reporting for all activities, ensuring marketing investment delivers maximum impact and actionable insights for internal teams and market partners.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external), industry partners and sister agencies on the island of Ireland to achieve shared objectives.
- Steer solutions to streamline relevant processes within the Global Initiatives & Events remit.
- Anticipate the needs of the Global Initiatives and Events remit and provide strategic support across additional global programmes and opportunities, advising the Global Initiatives & Events Manager on challenges, opportunities and cross‑team alignment.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the wider markets and central teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Plan and manage resources according to agreed budgets and in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with Tourism Ireland’s corporate governance, financial and HR policies and procedures.
Note: This role could involve some travel and occasional flexibility outside normal business hours. Key Results Area-
Lead cross‑functional teams (Publicity, Social, Brand & Content, Media) to deliver high‑impact global initiatives and events for market teams and for Tourism Ireland’s overarching brand objectives.
- Develop and oversee strategic plans that drive awareness, engagement and revenue for the island of Ireland.
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills in delivering on pan market initiatives, moments and campaigns.

The Person
The successful candidate will possess the following experience, knowledge and skills competencies and qualifications
Essential-
Third‑level qualification in marketing, business, communications or relevant discipline.
- 3-5 years’ experience collaborating with cross-market teams and leading on cross market initiatives.

Demonstrates team leadership experience, including developing and supporting colleagues to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, deadlines and budgets.
- Excellent collaborator, a team player with proven capability managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver an inspiring programme of global activities and initiatives.
- Excellent organisational skills; comfortable managing multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proactive problem‑solving abilities.
- Demonstrates flexibility and commitment, including occasional work outside standard hours to meet critical deadlines.
