About the position
Due to the continued growth of Tyrrells Autos Car Sales & Service and our planned expansion, we have an opportunity for a qualified motor mechanic to join our team.
We are looking for a skilled and dependable mechanic who takes pride in producing high-quality work. Our focus is on completing repairs properly and maintaining excellent standards rather than rushing jobs simply to meet targets.
We service and repair all makes and models in a modern, well-equipped workshop. The role covers a broad range of work, including:
- General servicing and mechanical repairs
- Timing belts, clutches and engine repairs
- Suspension, braking and steering repairs
- Fault-finding and vehicle diagnostics
- Electrical repairs
- ADAS calibration
- Module cloning
- Remapping
While diagnostic and electrical experience would be an advantage, it is not essential. We are prepared to provide training and support to a strong mechanic who is interested in developing their diagnostic and electrical skills.
The successful candidate should:
- Be a qualified motor mechanic
- Preferably have at least three years’ post-apprenticeship experience
- Be capable of carrying out servicing and mechanical repairs to a high standard
- Take pride in their workmanship and consistently focus on quality
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Have good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Follow customer instructions and job-card requirements carefully
- Complete repairs thoroughly and verify that the repair has been successful
- Clearly identify and report any additional or future repairs required
- Hold a full, clean driving licence valid in Ireland
- Be legally authorised to work in Ireland without employer sponsorship
