Ballinasloe based - Storeperson / Van Driver/Installer required by Cunniffe Electric - We have retail outlets in Ballinasloe, the Galway Shopping Centre and on the Tuam Road in Galway. We deliver to customers throughout the city, county and surrounding counties. We are part of the Expert Electrical Group.
The role does require a good deal of interaction with customers.
We are looking for the following:
- Responsible for Ballinasloe Store Room Organisation and Layout - Ensuring that stock is located in proper place, easily accessible & Kept neat and tidy.
- Managing any inter branch transfers on a daily basis
- To provide excellent customer service.
- Working with the administration and management team on scheduling and optimisation of delivery routes.
- To be able to carry out simple installations for customers. Some installations involve integrated appliances.
- To load and unload the van and ensuring all machines are correct.
- Driving the van carefully and professionally.
- Ensuring that we have accurate delivery information prior to departure, accurate contact information for customers and awareness of special instructions.
- To install TV's, DVD, Sound systems etc..
- To remain in contact with the office each day by phone or text.
- To keep the van tidy all times.
- Ensuring that we remove packing materials where appropriate.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of the van - ensuring that any issues are brought to management attention.
- To complete daily inspection on the van and report any issues to Manager.
- To label the faulty returns and any other returns with docket number and your code.
- Ensure the integrity of the stock by sticking to our stock management system at all times
- To answer all phone calls/queries regarding deliveries and installations from branches and warehouse.
- To report any accidents/incidents to the Manager.
- The following skills are required:
Extremely well organised and disciplined in approach to work
Able to speak to customers, team and management.
Willing to accept feedback on performance
Comfortable with basic plumbing and carpentry.
Ability to learn a comprehensive product knowledge/installation procedure based on product range
Full Clean valid Driving Licence (must be over 25 for insurance purposes)
Experience of working with electronic equipment & Software( handheld devices)
Please note this is a permanent full time position , 40-45 hours per week - Some flexibility on finish times will be required given the nature of the role
