Van Driver – Part-Time Overnight Delivery
I am looking for a reliable and hardworking van driver to join a busy milk delivery round covering Mallow and surrounding areas.
This is a part-time position involving 2 overnight shifts per week:
- Sunday night into Monday morning
- Wednesday night into Thursday morning
- Start: 8pm
- Finish: approximately 7.30am – 8am
- Pay: €250 per night (€500 per week)
The successful applicant will collect the delivery van from Cork City Northside, travel to the depot in Little Island to load the van, and then drive to Mallow to begin the delivery round.
The vehicle is a 2026 Renault Master long-wheelbase van.
This is a consistent delivery route with regular customers, making it an ideal position for someone looking for reliable part-time overnight work.
Training provided:
I will provide 2–4 weeks of full on-the-job training, depending on how quickly the successful applicant becomes familiar and comfortable with the route. I will personally accompany the driver during the training period, helping them learn the route, customers, delivery procedures and use of the route guidance software. The aim is to ensure the driver is fully confident and capable of completing the round independently.
Duties include:
- Collecting the van from Cork City Northside
- Travelling to the depot in Little Island and loading the van
- Driving to Mallow and completing the delivery route safely and efficiently
- Delivering orders to customers accurately and on time
- Following delivery instructions and dealing with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensuring the van and deliveries are looked after throughout the shift
Route guidance:
Route guidance software is available to assist with navigating the delivery round and locating customer addresses. The software is straightforward to use but must be installed on the successful applicant's smartphone.
Full instruction on using the software will be provided as part of the on-the-job training.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A full clean B driving licence
- Previous van driving or delivery experience would be an advantage
- Experience driving a larger van would be an advantage
- A strong work ethic and good attention to detail
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- A good understanding of English
- A friendly and professional manner when dealing with customers
- The ability to work independently and complete the route efficiently
- A suitable smartphone for the route guidance software
What I offer:
- €250 per night
- €500 per week for 2 nights
