JOB DESCRIPTION
Join a team focused on process optimization and operational excellence across Merchant Services. We help elevate the client experience while mitigating process risk by simplifying end-to-end processes and strengthening control execution.
As a Process Optimization and Assurance Associate, you will partner with leaders across Merchant Services, Client Onboarding and Servicing, and Control Management to identify opportunities, analyze data, and drive change. You will communicate recommendations through executive-ready storytelling and build strong relationships to deliver measurable improvements.
Analyze key business processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend automation to streamline control execution and reporting and reduce manual touchpoints, comparisons, and workflows (e.g., Alteryx or other approved solutions).
Support evergreen process risk assessments by maintaining complete, consistent control capture and control descriptions and reinforcing quality up front through error prevention, clean data, and strong documentation and data discipline.
Partner with the business and Control Management to support CCOR reviews, audits, and walkthrough preparation, including validation of populations and procedures and timely Request for Information (RFI) responses with request-specific evidence aligned to documented procedures.
Support issue, action plan, and risk event governance by tracking milestones, escalating as needed, reporting status, and driving RCA/AAR activities to closure.
Drive QC/QA error reduction and perform remediation verification and testing to confirm fixes are effective and sustained.
Maintain stakeholder routines (e.g., scorecards and meetings) to provide visibility into control effectiveness, risk trends, and remediation progress.
Develop and maintain process maps, workflows, and documentation; synthesize findings; and present clear recommendations that influence leadership through structured narratives, including enhancements to data and reporting that support migration oversight and consistent controls execution.
Optimize onboarding and servicing models with a client-centric, growth-oriented focus, advocating simplified, control-focused execution across the client lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Merchant Services experience with strong knowledge of day-to-day processes in Client Onboarding and Servicing.
Control-minded execution, including attention to detail, evidence quality, and adherence to documented procedures.
Strong data discipline, including clean inputs, consistent documentation, and traceable outputs.
Operational ownership, including milestone management, early escalation, and driving deliverables to closure.
Client-centric mindset focused on adoption, ramp outcomes, and the end-to-end client experience.
Continuous improvement focus, including root cause identification, repeat-defect reduction, and validation of fixes.
Collaborative delivery style, partnering effectively with business stakeholders and Control Management and applying agile ways of working
Appy Lean Six Sigma and systems-thinking approaches to diagnose end-to-end performance issues and prioritize improvements based on impact and feasibility.
