We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting person to join our team and grow into an AI & Data engineering role. What sets Yippie apart is that you won't just be building data pipelines behind the scenes, you'll be helping clients actually put AI to work in their businesses. This will involve building agentic workflows, rolling out AI safely and compliantly, and training clients to get the most out of AI. Strong data engineering is what makes that possible, but AI implementation is the heart of what we do and where you'll spend much of your focus.
You'll work alongside an experienced team member on live client projects, upskilling in any gaps and expanding your experience. As your experience grows, so will your ownership of projects.
We take upskilling seriously. As part of your role, you'll complete relevant training and certifications (AWS certifications, SnowPro, and more), with a learning plan tailored to your experience and career goals.
What you'll be doing
- Working directly with clients to implement data and AI processes including scoping and project planning
- Redesigning processes using Automation & AI tools
- Designing and building data warehouses in Snowflake (or equivalent), including medallion architecture
- Building and testing ETL pipelines to integrate source systems into a central data warehouse, using Python, AWS, and other platforms
- Carrying out data analysis and data cleaning
- Implementing data testing and coding best practices
- Building visualisations and automated reporting (Streamlit, Power BI, etc.)
- Rolling out AI across client organisations with compliance and security best practices front and centre
- Designing and setting up agentic workflows that automate manual, repetitive work so clients can focus on what matters
- Training clients on AI capabilities they can use day-to-day
What We're Looking For
Ideal candidates will have 0-2 years of experience in AI or data consulting; however, we are also interested in candidates who bring a different background, such as a master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline, or professional experience gained in another sector. The key attributes we are seeking are a solid technical foundation and a genuinely proactive, self-motivated approach to work. As our team continues to grow, this position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and advancement.
Required:
- Python
- Git
- Data analysis skills (ideally in Python)
- Data visualization skills (e.g.matplotlib, pyplot)
- Experience with coding best practices and testing frameworks (e.g. pytest)
- Strong communication skills
- A genuine desire to learn
- Experience using AI or building with AI tools (e.g. Personal AI projects, setting up agents, using LLM APIs, ChatGPT for real workflows)
At least one of the following:
- SQL
- Snowflake (or an equivalent tool)
- Experience with a cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Data visualisation tools (Streamlit, Power BI, Tableau , or equivalent)
- Client facing experience
- Data warehousing and ETL
- Purview (or equivalent)
