Role: Visitor Experience Assistant
Location: Experience Glasnevin
Hours: 30hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term (6 months) - Must have availability across 7-days, weekends and bank holidays
Overview:
Dublin Cemeteries Trust is seeking a part-time Visitor Experience Assistant to join the Experience Glasnevin Team
The post holder will be part of the Experience Glasnevin Team responsible for supporting all aspects of Visitor Centre operations, with a particular focus on delivering efficient administrative support and ensuring high-quality visitor experience.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a busy customer-facing role (essential)
- Previous retail experience particularly using a till and handling cash (essential)
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Good communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work as part of a team and an ability to provide excellent customer service
- A strong sense of customer care and an ability to deal sensitively with customers, including the bereaved
- Ability to act quickly, decisively and calmly during periods of very busy activity
- Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Experience using a retail management Point of Sale system (e.g. iVend)
- Strong IT Skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must have availability for 5 over 7 days (weekend hours will be required).
- An interest in the history of Ireland and Glasnevin Cemetery is desired but is not essential
