Overview
IT STAR supports customers in selecting mobile phones, accessories, and related technology products. This role combines strong product knowledge with excellent customer service to create a positive retail experience and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and identify their needs to recommend appropriate phones, plans, and accessories.
- Demonstrate product features, including device specifications, software functions, and connectivity options.
- Stay up to date on the latest mobile technology trends, product releases, and brand offerings.
- Assist customers with device setup, data transfer, troubleshooting, and basic technical support.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the store’s point-of-sale system.
- Maintain store displays, ensure products are well-stocked, and follow visual merchandising standards.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer concerns in a professional, solution-focused manner.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
- Follow company policies regarding security, customer privacy, and device handling.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong interest in mobile phones, gadgets, and emerging technology.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, friendly, and helpful way.
- Sales experience in retail or tech environments preferred but not required.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems such as iOS and Android.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
